“Together for Food Safety – Knowledge and Industry Partnership” – conference of Wrocław Technology Park

As part of its promotion and outreach activities aimed at strengthening cooperation between science and industry, the INBIOWAL project participated in the conference “Together for Food Safety – Knowledge and Industry Partnership”, a conference organized by Wrocław Technology Park.
The event brought together representatives of academia, industry, innovation ecosystems, and public administration to discuss current challenges and future directions in ensuring food safety through effective knowledge transfer and cross-sector collaboration.
AbOUT THE CONFERENCE
The conference focused on building resilient and secure food systems by fostering partnerships between research institutions and industrial stakeholders. The program was structured around two main thematic blocks:
Knowledge and Industry Partnership
This session addressed mechanisms supporting cooperation between science and business, including innovation clusters, strategic partnerships, and platforms facilitating the commercialization of research results. Discussions highlighted the importance of long-term collaboration for sustainable development of the agri-food sector.Food Safety in Practice
Expert presentations and a panel discussion explored practical aspects of food security, including access to strategic raw materials, crisis preparedness, regulatory frameworks, and interdisciplinary approaches to risk management in food systems.
In addition to the scientific and expert sessions, the conference provided networking opportunities, B2B meetings, and guided tours of the technological infrastructure and laboratories available at Wrocław Technology Park.
INBIOWAL Contribution
The INBIOWAL project was represented at the conference by Dr Filip Boratyński and Witold Pietrzak, together with the Business Cooperation Office of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, represented by Dr Joanna Wicińska.
Their participation reinforced the dialogue between academic research and industry partners, emphasizing the importance of structured collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation transfer in addressing food safety challenges and supporting the development of bio-based solutions.
Relevance for the INBIOWAL Project
Participation in the conference was fully aligned with the objectives of INBIOWAL, particularly in:
- promoting interdisciplinary and intersectoral cooperation,
- strengthening links between biotechnology research and industry,
- supporting innovation ecosystems focused on food safety and sustainability.
By engaging with key stakeholders, the project contributed to discussions shaping future research priorities and implementation pathways in the bioeconomy.
