The INBIOWAL project brings together six leading international institutions, including Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr) as the project coordinator, alongside partners from Sweden, Italy, Croatia, and Australia. These institutions contribute complementary expertise in fields like biotechnology, green chemistry, and waste valorization, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to sustainable solutions.
The Swedish Centre for Resource Recovery (SCRR) at the University of Borås focuses on developing innovative technologies for sustainable waste management and resource recovery. Specializing in biogas production, fungal biomass utilization, and circular economy solutions, SCRR collaborates with academic and industrial partners worldwide.
The Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr) is ranked as the top agricultural university in Poland and is recognized globally in fields such as Food Science & Technology (Shanghai Ranking). UPWr excels in research and innovation, focusing on food sciences, veterinary sciences, and environmental studies, with strong collaborations with industry and public institutions, including partnerships with leading companies like KGHM, Maspex, and Henkel.

The university is internationally recognized for its work in advancing biotechnological processes and for fostering collaborations between academia and industry.
University of Zagreb (UniZg), Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, is the leading institution in Croatia for scientific research and education in biotechnology, food technology, and nutrition science. The UniZg team involved in the project specializes in the development and application of natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) in food technology and biotechnology. They have extensive experience in coordinating and participating in international research projects funded by European programs, further enhancing their expertise in sustainable and innovative processes.
The School of Chemistry and Molecular Biosciences (SCMB) at the University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia specializes in biocatalysis, molecular engineering, and optimizing enzymes for industrial applications. Their expertise includes ancestral sequence reconstruction (ASR) and photobiocatalysis, advancing biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and sustainable chemistry. SCMB is also deeply involved in international research collaborations, driving innovation in these fields.
